The youth groups at Immanuel Lutheran are divided into 2 groups, Jr. High 6th-8th grade and High School 9th -12th grade. Once students have completed the 12th grade they are invited to participate in our Adult Ministry.
Jr. High meets weekly on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30 for Bible study, games and fun. Jr. High meets monthly for fellowship events. Every winter Jr. High students have the opportunity to attend a youth gathering called Youth Quake. Jr. High students also have the opportunity to participate in mission trips locally and nationally. During the school year there the Jr. High Sunday School classes are divided into 2 classes: 6th grade and 7th-8th grade classes.
High School meets weekly on Wednesday nights from 6-7:30 and 7:30-9 for Bible study or Thursday evenings from 5pm-7pm. High Schoolers also participate in monthly fellowship events, quarterly retreats, and local service. Every year students participate in a youth gathering rotating between our area, state, and national. High school students also participate in missions both local, statewide and nationally. There is a High School Sunday School class with all four grades combined.

Students planning on participating in summer mission trips or youth quake are required to help with the fall youth garage sale. Parent helpers are needed. | Youth Quake Deposit $35 |

Students and chaperones desiring to attend Youth Quake in Austin need to sign-up and turn in the non-refundable deposit of $35 by September 15 in order to reserve their place at Youth Quake. Youth Quake is a Junior High youth gathering held in Austin the weekend of February 25-27, 2011. Students and chaperones get to participate in worship, Bible studies, break out sessions, participate in a crazy dress night, and stay in a hotel for 2 nights. Participants are asked to participate in the Garage Sale and Jar fundraiser in order to lower the out of pocket cost for the trip to $75 per student and $35 per chaperone.

This year we will be going on a spring break mission trip March 12-17 to Bokenkamp Children's Shelter in Corpus Christi, a part of Lutheran Social Services of the South. The trip is open to anyone above the age of 13 who completes the proper paperwork, training, pays the deposit and balance. We will be helping with renovations to their building, working with the students who reside there, and serving in the Corpus Christi community. Students desiring to attend the mission trips this summer need to pay a $50 non-refundable deposit due October 17 in order to officially sign-up to attend. H.S. mission trip will be June 10-18 to Cortez, CO. Jr. High Mission trip will be July 8-16 to Chattanooga, TN. We need 1 chaperone for every 5 students attending, both male and female chaperones needed.
