Time Commitment
The time requirements listed in these ministry descriptions are
estimated maximum hours per week. Hours will vary weekly
depending upon member need and number of team members
available to provide care.

Shepherd's Staff Care Teams

Hospital Care
Team members will visit and pray with ILC members who are in local hospitals, offering spiritual encouragement from our family of believers. Team members should feel genuine concern for those dealing with illness or injury. Time: 2-3 hrs/week maximum.

Shut-Ins and
Nursing Home Care
Team members will visit and pray with ILC members who are homebound, in a nursing home, or who continue to recover at home after hospitalization. It is hoped that meaningful relationships will be forged. 2-3 hrs/week maximum.

All-Member Care
The purpose of this team is to reinforce a “sense of connection” for all members to the body of Christ at ILC. Team members will seek to meet the spiritual needs of members. Time:2-3 hrs/week maximum.

Crisis Care
This is a small group of specially trained individuals who can quickly respond to a personal or family crisis. Team members will offer spiritual and emotional support to those in crisis. Time: variable.

Worship Attendance Team
Team members will quickly identify a change in attendance patters for a member, and make immediate contact so that all members remain connected to the fellowship of believers. Team members will assure individuals of the church’s genuine concern for them. 2-3 hrs/week maximum.

Guests/Outreach
The purpose of this team is to reinforce a “sense of connection” for all members to the body of Christ at ILC. Team members will seek to meet the spiritual needs of members. Time: 2-3 hrs/week maximum.
